Hibberd Orthodontics has a long history, one we feel so honoured and grateful to continue. It is proudly and truly a family run practice, with generations of experience in passionately providing outstanding care to our patients. Dr. Christine Hibberd continues this legacy at her practice in Oakville. She followed in the footsteps of her father, Dr. Graeme Hibberd, who started the first Hibberd Orthodontics office back in 1984 and her grandmother Dr. Joan Hibberd was also a dental specialist.
Dr. Joan Hibberd sadly passed away on Christmas Eve 2023, and she is greatly missed. But, her legacy, and her strong imprint on her extremely large family, including Dr. Graeme Hibberd and Dr. Christine Hibberd lives on. As is the case with many families, traditions and values are passed down from generation to generation. For Hibberd Orthodontics, those core values include: personalized care, conservative treatment options, and a patient centric approach.
When speaking about Hibberd Orthodontics and the Hibberd family, we are not done yet! Shannon, also works at Hibberd Orthodontics and manages the operations of the practice. She passionately shares the same vision as her dad (Dr. Graeme Hibberd) and sister (Dr. Christine Hibberd). Creating an atmosphere that feels welcoming, supportive and builds confidence in both our patients and team is so important. We are always striving to continuously improve. We have a constant focus on ensuring that everyone feels their experience as a part of the Hibberd Orthodontics family - including all our staff, and our patients is positive and rewarding. Every patient, at every single appointment is always seen and assessed by the orthodontist. Any concerns or questions are thoroughly discussed, and feeling confident and informed as a patient is imperative.
Treating Generations of Families:
Just like Hibberd Orthodontics has continued after generations, we are so honoured that after being in the field for so long, we get to treat generations of families! Many who for example who had their orthodontic treatment done by Dr. Graeme Hibberd as a child, and we now are treating their children.
Dr. Christine Hibberd and Dr. Graeme Hibberd have a shared passion for orthodontics. Since leaving his practices in Toronto (in 2021) and Brampton (in 2013) Dr. Graeme Hibberd now practices solely out of Dr. Christine Hibberd’s practice. He also enjoys having the time to pursue travel and other adventures. We are so lucky to have him! Dr. Christine Hibberd began Hibberd Orthodontics in Oakville in 2017 and feels it is such an honour and privilege to service the community that she both grew up in and now lives in with her family. It is the only Hibberd Orthodontics office.

Dr. Christine Hibberd and Dr. Graeme Hibberd are passionate about early treatment because early treatment for some patients is critical to get the best result possible, with the most conservative treatment plan.
- Teens: At Hibberd Orthodontics we know that a straight smile can do wonders for your teen’s confidence. We offer traditional braces, LightForce braces, as well as Invisalign Clear Aligners because we know that every teen is different and every case requires a unique treatment plan.
