What to Expect at your First Appointment

Your first appointment at Hibberd Orthodontics will be a full orthodontic consultation. Consultations typically are about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes in length. You will have photos taken anda a panoramic x-ray (assuming one has not been done in the last 12 months). Please let our office know in advance if you have had a recent panoramic x-ray and we will request it from your dentist. Dr. Christine Hibberd and/or Dr. Graeme Hibberd will do an orthodontic evaluation, discuss all clinical findings with you and any treatment recommendations. 

Orthodontic Visits

There are a few appointments initially to get started, but oncein active treatment your appointments typically are scheduled in 7 to 12 week in advance. At every appointment you will always be seen by the orthodontist. 

We understand that you have a busy schedule, so when you're preparing to visit the dentist, please remember that your appointments can last between 45 and 90 minutes.

Regular checkups at your dentist are an important part of maintaining a healthy smile!

The Canadian Dental Association recommends visiting your dentist every six months for regular checkups and routine teeth cleanings to keep your teeth and gums healthy.
